About me:
Originating from Calgary, Canada, Katelyn is a queer photographer and multidisciplinary artist who find comfort in natural spaces. Recently, she found new roots in Port Coquitlam, Canada. Fascinated by death and decay alongside the beauty of the natural world, Katelyn explores the cycles of life and death. Through her photography, she aims to evoke a deeper contemplation of life and death—A visual conversation about human existence. She is currently developing her portfolio and learning where she belongs in the world of photography.
As a photographer, Katelyn captures the beauty of natural landscapes and untamed wildlife, the stories of urban environments, portraits that reveal human essence and emotion, the hauntings of abandoned buildings, and whatever interests her. Cultivating her craft at Emily Carr University of Art + Design during her Certificate of Photography, she discovered the medium to be powerful for expressing her magnetism to all things creepy and bizarre.
